St Oswald’s Children’s Unit extends the spectrum of services which the hospice at Gosforth provides for those with life threatening illnesses. This eight bed purpose designed respite care facility provides en-suite facilities and shared family accommodation, ‘the families kitchen’, which forms the hub of day to day living. Parents are provided with three bed sitting rooms with en-suite facilities to facilitate constant contact and support for the child. Specialist treatment facilities include a therapy room, music room and snoezelen.
